Attention is focused on questions such as how much invested, who is investing from abroad, what industries are most affected, what States receive the most investment, and how are these investments financed. This guide is designed help those interested in foreign direct investment in the United States understand the data that are collected and published by the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA). Its purpose is to explain the types of information collected and clarity the differences in the data sets.
